Description

Growth promoter for finishing cattle in feedlots and pastures, for a duration of 120 to 140 days. It increases daily weight gain, improves feed conversion, reduces the fattening period, and improves cattle conformation.

Each implant contains:

Trenbolone acetate 40 mg

17 β estradiol 8 mg

Excipient, q.s. 1 implant (with 2 tablets)

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM:

Implants or cartridges.

PHARMACODYNAMIC PROPERTIES:

Trenbolone acetate is a synthetic androgen, exhibiting strong anabolic and weak androgenic activity. 17β-estradiol is an analogue of the endogenous steroid.

Its activity at the tissue level (muscle and fat tissue) results from: i) a direct action on target tissues (particularly at the muscle cell level, by binding to specific intracellular receptors) and ii) an indirect action through alterations in the concentrations of other anabolic and catabolic hormones, such as growth hormone, insulin, insulin-like growth factor 1 and glucocorticoids. This results in increased protein deposition and therefore improved growth performance in heifers. This is the basis for the use of trenbolone acetate and 17β-estradiol to trigger growth promotion.

PHARMACOKINETIC PROPERTIES:

Following implantation, trenbolone acetate and 17β-estradiol are released gradually over a typical treatment period.

DOSAGE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

Administer one implant (2 tablets) subcutaneously in the middle third of the posterior surface of the animal’s ear.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Do not remove the plastic cap from the magazine head. 2. Place the magazine into the implantation gun inlet, with the plastic cap facing forward, as shown in the drawing. 3. Gently push the magazine down until it is in position to fire the first dose. 4. The gun is now ready for use. 5. The animal must be immobilized, either in a vise, sleeve, or funnel. 6. Once the animal is immobilized, verify that the animal’s ear is clean. If not, clean, disinfect, and dry the application area thoroughly. Hold the ear firmly and insert the trocar into the subcutaneous tissue of the middle third of the posterior surface of the ear. 7. Once the trocar is inserted, gently and fully pull the trigger of the implantation gun. Once implantation is complete, verify that the entire dose has been delivered and firmly press the ear opening through which the trocar entered. 8. Before the next application, verify that the corresponding dose is ready to be administered. 9. Always disinfect the trocar before each application with a germicidal solution, ensuring that no liquid penetrates the interior of the trocar. 10. When all the implants in a magazine have been administered, the empty magazine will exit the bottom of the implantation gun. It should be replaced with a new magazine and all instructions from step 1 should be repeated.
